About Dr Mamta Pathak

Dr Mamta specialises in office Gynaecology consultations and procedures: she helped to establish and develop the office Gynaecology department in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals. Office Gynaecology procedures have made a significant clinical impact by removing the need for general anaesthesia, thereby allowing for a quick recovery following treatment.

Mamta is highly experienced and skilled at performing the following procedures:

• Outpatient hysteroscopy (see and treat approach)
• Outpatient endometrial ablation for the management of heavy menstrual bleeding
• Resection of polyps and fibroids with local anaesthesia
• General Gynaecological consultations for common Gyn. conditions, heavy menstrual bleeding, postmenopausal bleeding including ultrasound assessment of female pelvic organs, vulval disorders and menopausal health.

Mamta graduated from the King George Medical College in India and trained as a specialist in the London and the West Midlands deanery. During the early stages of training she developed an interest in office Gynaecological procedures. Mamta also trained as a clinical fellow specialising in performing outpatient hysteroscopy, Gynaecology ultrasound scans and hysteroscopic surgery in University College of London Hospitals. Mamta completed further specialty training in the West Midlands. After completing her specialist training, Mamta was appointed as a Consultant in Worcestershire Acute Hospitals.
