Dr Pallavi Latthe is an accredited subspecialist in urogynaecology and a consultant gynaecologist at the Birmingham Women’s NHS Foundation Trust. She is also the clinical lead for Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology at the Birmingham Women and Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr Latthe has extensive experience in treating the following urogynaecological conditions:
Vaginal prolapse, urinary incontinence, recurrent bladder/ urinary tract infections, painful bladder. She performs all the following operations/procedures routinely:
Pallavi provides high quality services related to general gynaecological problems including menstrual dysfunction, contraception, ovarian cysts, menopause and pelvic pain. She is one of the very few gynaecologists who specializes in paediatric and teenage gynaecological issues including period problems, polycystic ovaries, pelvic pain etc.
Dr Latthe trained in the UK and India, with travelling fellowships to the Cleveland Clinic, Florida and Nijmegen, Netherlands. During training, she did her clinical research fellowship at the Birmingham Women’s Hospital and the University of Birmingham. She is an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham. She has written a few books and authored over 75 scientific papers apart holding big grants, peer reviewing for journals etc. At present, she is the chair of the British Society of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology.
In her spare time, Pallavi enjoys long distance road cycling and fundraising for charities.
