Dr Ruchira Singh is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist and Clinical Director of Gynaecology at Birmingham Women’s Hospital. She brings over two decades of clinical expertise in women’s health to Midlands Women’s Health, offering advanced diagnostic and surgical care with a strong focus on fertility, pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, and minimally invasive gynaecology. Dr Singh specialises in managing complex conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, recurrent miscarriage, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Her approach is patient-centred and evidence-based, with an emphasis on preserving fertility and improving quality of life through tailored treatment plans. Her clinical services include early pregnancy and cycle monitoring scans, laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, diagnostic hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, and advanced procedures for fibroids, ovarian cysts, and endometriosis.
She also offers abdominal hysterectomy and laparoscopic sterilisation. In addition to her NHS role, Dr Singh is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Birmingham and serves as a Senior Clinical Examiner for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG).
She is actively involved in research, peer review, and postgraduate training, and has published widely in leading medical journals. Fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi,
