Endosure® Testing
Mr Afifi is the lead consultant for Endosure® testing at Midlands Women’s Health.
Endosure® is a non-invasive screening test designed to support the early detection of endometriosis. Mr Afifi provides expert interpretation of Endosure® results, integrating them with clinical assessment and imaging to guide accurate diagnosis and personalised treatment planning.

Mr Yousri Afifi is a leading UK-based consultant gynaecologist and internationally recognised expert in endometriosis and reproductive surgery. With over 25 years of experience in advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, he specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of complex and deep-infiltrating endometriosis, fertility-enhancing procedures, fibroid management, and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.
He is the Director of the BSGE-accredited Birmingham Endometriosis Centre and Lead Consultant for the Reproductive Surgery Unit at Birmingham Women’s Hospital, as well treating patients at Midlands Women’s Health.
Mr Afifi is known for his innovative surgical techniques, including pioneering ovarian tissue autografting to preserve fertility and developing safer laparoscopic entry methods. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, and presented extensively at international conferences.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Mr Afifi plays a key role in surgical education. He chairs advanced laparoscopic training in the West Midlands and leads international surgical skills courses. As a trusted specialist, he is frequently referred the most challenging cases from across the UK.
